On Thursday February 24, 2011, officials from the Town of Highland Park presented Ray Washburne, General Partner and President of the Highland Park Village, with a Town of Highland Park flag to be flown above Highland Park Village.
“We are very excited to have the Town of Highland Park flag at Highland Park Village as we are the town square for the community, says Ray Washburne.
Highland Park’s Town flag was approved in 2010. Highland Park Mayor Pro Tem Gail Madden spearheaded the design project. The flag, designed by Betsy Gray, bears a blue quaterfoil on a white field. The flag was introduced in a June 2010 Town Council meeting. A Highland Park Town flag was presented to Representative Dan Branch and future presentations to Senator John Corona and Congressman Pete Sessions are planned.
